Help! "Old" XML won't go away!
I have several XML feeds that were coded to display new items for sale on my web sites for the past 30-day period. I wrote the code around the first of the year. I have this problem with all three feeds.
The code works. When I read the XML code resulting from the MySQL query that builds it, I see only items added in the past 30 days. But the DISPLAYED feed is holding on to the old items. I have tried deleting the .xml file on the remote server and starting from scratch, but the old stuff is still there! Please see http://bitterbrook.com/newstuff.xml to see the problem. Where is this old November stuff coming from? Is it cached in my reader? I refresh with no effect. I use MSIE 7.0 as a reader. This old stuff is not in the file I publish. I am stumped! Thanks in advance for any help. |

I only see items from Sept 07. Did you resolve your issue?

Re: Help! "Old" XML won't go away!
This feed looks OK today. But my other feed at http://radioattic.com/newstuff.xml has an entry from back in March at the end. I checked the .xml file that I published last night, and the entry from March is not in it.
Same for the feed at http://wiretreasures.com/newstuff.xml. Stuff from March and April (the .xml file only contains items from the past 30 days) on line, and NOT in the .xml file published this morning. I'm suspecting a bug in the IE7 reader, as that's the only thing I can think of. I build a new .xml file every time I update these web sites and publish using FrontPage. When I check the published file, the new AND old stuff is there. I think I'll try installing a new reader to see if it might be an IE7 problem. |
