Website Redesign
Hello,
I want to redesign my design site. And i am just really stuck on it right now. Im only 15 and at the moment arent making any money of my site but one day i hope. But i really want to keep it simple and clean. but not quite as simple as the one i have. i really love ryanfait.com/. thats my style. that site is perfect for me. does anyone have any ideas on a site design for me. Im not tied to any certain colors or anything. and i really only know html and css and i know gimp. Current site http://www.maniacstudios.com Thanks J.S.

Re: Website Redesign
Well first of all nice site, looks very clean and fresh
If you want something like our ryans, then i suggest you have a look around for inspiration, i am getting the feeling you do not want something contained in a border like you have got now? There are ones like ryans where there is a background image separate from the main content http://ryanfait.com/ There is web designer wall, where they have wonderfully combined the content of the page with the background http://www.webdesignerwall.com/ Another non tradition layout for a site is http://www.bencardy.co.uk/, i really like this one. For colour schemes the best places i find are http://kuler.adobe.com/ and http://www.colorcombos.com/ I no these are not strictly ideas, but there are a few sites here for inpsiration, maybe a combination of them all

Re: Website Redesign
Also, two more really good places to go for inspiration are
Website of the month hall of fame - http://www.webforumz.com/hall-of-fame/ and the free site crituqe, not only can you get ideas deom here, but you can also find out about problems, what to avoid and how to achieve certain things - http://www.webforumz.com/free-web-site-critique/

Re: Website Redesign
Your current site is ok - looks too much like the default WordPress theme IMO.
