What is the best way to achieve these type of sites ?
Hi all,
I want to know the steps for creating the css sites, for example this one : http://elliotjaystocks.com/blog/ or this : http://corkd.com/ or : http://www.curve2.com/ or : http://www.aurum3.com/ and there are many as you know... I want to know the step by step guidelines to create them, if you know any tutorial or you can tell me i will be thankful .  What i should know, any programming, languages, any skills,... and anything i need to have to create these type of sites I want to follow the steps so i can make something like them...

Elliot's site is powered by WP and corkd is done in Rails.
So ... 2 different approaches' to create 2 stunning sites ... I'm just talking about the first 2 you pointed out since I've been following Elliot Jay Stock since quite a while ago (with all his pictures of sites from people ripping his sites) and Dan Cederholm worked/launched the Corkd' one. There's a variety of language now that you can use to create site like those ... PHP, .NET, Rails (Ruby on Rails), CakePHP, Espression Engine, etc..... Start with one and stick with it is what I say. I'm wanting to learn RoR and I have a great project idea to learn it with. BUt I just haven't found the time. PHP is most widely used of course. You also need a database ... MySQL is the popular choice Hope this helped.

But first I want to know how is the best way to make the PSD template to CSS sites, Do you know any tutorial ? I know how to create them but what I need is good step by step guide for creating the layout... Thanks again

I did do this one tho - A websites' structure from A to Z - is this something like this that your are looking for of more how "How to slice" type of tutorial?
That was going to be in the next edition of the Newsletter but I've ran out of idea for a good template design ... hmmmm ...
