Adsense and Affiliate Programmes
My own personal feeling on adsense and affiliate programmes are simply, if they are not implemented correctly, they totally devalue a website. Sites that are built solely around affiliates programmes or Google adverts look awful.
I would advise anyone who is contemplating adding any of these systems to think long and hard about the direction they want to take with their website. Setting up an affiliate programme however can be very beneficial in terms of financial reward.

What is your site about? If it is a service/product site you should not use ads.
