Lost Inspiration

Yes I've lost my inspiration.

I am looking to revamp and redesign my music website scenesters.co.uk. I'm looking to something a hell of alot simple and basic.

I am looking for the type of site that was around a few year ago (hard to explain) but small looking clean not over graphical.

Anyone know of any sites I can have a look at for inspiration let me know.

Or when you run out of inspiration where do you get yours back.

Cheers, just had a read of that. It brings in some inspiration and good use of the link mention in the site as has karinne Mentioned too.

I have a mental image in my head to how I want it to work but when It comes to get the image on screen I sit with the blank expression on my face and then end up playing some game somewhere.

A few of the designs there have elements of what I'm looking for so it does help me abit.

The site I'm redesigning is http://www.scenesters.co.uk/index.php I really like the concept I have at the minute but abit chance in lifestyle I'm changing the concept of the site and design with it. I think the reason that I still like that design is blocking my inspiration for a new one.

Redesigns are good. If you do it to a blog it makes you post more.

If you have some thoughts in your head, write them down on paper.....frequently, one thing will lead to another and before you know it, the site is design on paper and it is easy from there to code. It is a very old business trick but it works well for web design also.

I'm also thinking of coding this one in css too rather than using tables

Simon, hate is such a harsh work. Karinne dislikes tables passionately. And throws snippets of CSS at them until they throw up <table> and run away screaming. lol

LoL It'll take me twice as long to do the site obv cause I'll be learning it as I go, I know a little at the minute but I'm sure I'll get any help I need on the way :P

Nice way to put it lol best not ask an opinion on any of my sites then haha

If thats directed at me thanks. Thing is alot of people have said I should work in web design but I personally dont want to, much more perfer having my own little projects here and there.

I think with past experinces of enjoying painitng and drawing cartoons and stuff and it was drilled in to be at school that I should keep going and have a great future in it I lost intrest and I dont even pick up a pencil now.

As for the design I just done I like it even more as the guitarist is a mate of mine and its a photo I took and not using some stock photo of some gringo i dont know, if that makes sense lol
