Lightbulb Worth making?

My old look came out awful I'm ashamed to say.
Anyway, this is the basis of the layout of my new portfolio.
It has now graphics, no content nothing.
Before I do anything I want to know if it's a nice layout to do and if the colours are right. If it's just one or two things I'll scrap it and start again, otherwise I'll just change it then add graphics etc.
Would really appreciate it.

Re: Worth making?

Yes, like users who can login and get scores via flash games etc.
Do you reckon it's a little boring for that?

Re: Worth making?

I don't think that the layout is necessarily too boring, it's obviously a fairly standard layout, but there's nothing wrong with that, it'll be your use of graphics that will either bring it to life or not! One thing I would suggest is to make the border lines thinner, I think it looks a bit clunky as it is.

Re: Worth making?

That was my last resort :/
I couldn't get the page to expand without messing up the footer and panel.
Do you know how to do this?

put soming like this in your css ::

Re: Worth making?

It appears that you don't have a content area specified in your CSS file to stylize the content section in the HTML. That may be affecting the overflow of text from the border.
