how to select a technology ????

Hi folks,

i'm a BSe Engineering student specialized in computer science & Engineering and about to Finished my degree. So i and one of my friends hope to start a company and we hope develop company portal by ourselves which will have similar functionalities like www.rentacoder.com. we have development experiences in asp.net 1.0 and 2.0 over last one and half year, but no idea with JSP or PHP. these days we are doing some preliminary research in selecting a technology and decided to not to use ASP.net. so what would be the best from the JSP and PHP regarding performance, stability, security issues, development time, maintainability , support community, extendability, free IDEs, libraries, frameworks etc... Please give me your opinions regarding above mentioned facts. and finally what would be your selection ?
