I have had 5 years in the web design world, my skills include, xml, html, phpbb, css...

i have also had extensive experience in cms programmes, i used to own and run a recipe site that ran on a cms with a phpbb forum which supplied over 16000 recipes

i was top of the search engine google for 'online recipes' for about 1 year, until i shut down the website due to being unable to supply my time there....

still not sure what your ideas are, maybe you could just tell us...

seems you have everything on your site except for useful information or even a theme, we give advice here, we dont do things for you, we have a job opportunities forum for that, if you are paying

Thanks for the reply. Guess it's the way I have worded my post. I was looking for someone who may be interested in working WITH me to develop some of my idea's.

I have named one of my idea's Global Interface.

I would like to develop an imaginary Superliner called Medina Princess. It will cruise the globe along real cruise routes. On board people can hire a cabin where their picture and some basic details can be seen by other 'passengers.'

If someone is interested in contacting another 'passenger', they can purchase a contact number as long as the person they want to contact is happy about it.

As Medina Princess puts in at different countries a language tranlator can be used to translate the details of people from different countries.

I also want people to be able to track Medina Princess on the journey.

What do you thnk?

I appreciate your criticism of my site 'n will take it on board, so can you advise me on the best way to go about setting themes 'n supplying useful info. Any help you give me will be appreciated.

I do know my site is all over the place, I have not long started. As you can see i'm trying to earn some money from affiliate programs.

I hope to improve with time.

What you are planning to do could possibly take a team of 20, 10 years to develop at 20 hours a day each, the variables alone would be phenomenal, you would have to design your virtual ship, adding in detail and specks, then you would have to create a virtual 'planet' not an easy task as you have the details and variables for every country you want to use,

After you have designed the basic imagery, you would have to account for 'passenger movement', if you have virtual passengers, how would the react when something happens - there are thousands of possibilities, not forgetting that all this needs to be scripted so people can interact with each other... Then of course you would need some form of control and security, a back end admin control panel to be able to keep everything in check, which would probably take a sizeable team to keep in check

we have 140,000 members here, this is a simple forum and even we need a staff of at least 20 - 25 people, i honestly think it is not worth the time and effort, not unless you have a good 50 million pounds you could throw at it,

what you are suggesting is not possible on a 'basic level', it would have to be a highly advanced technical entity - there is already something like this that exists with virtual worlds, but nothing like what you suggest that i am aware of, and the reason for that is because no-one has the time nor the resources to achieve it...
