Need help with some ideas please.

Hi everyone ,

Im planning a website that i need some specific things on.
Firstly people will be putting ads of goods on my site. I presume i will just make a form with item discription etc, but then how do i make it appear on the site? How can it be done automatically?
Secondly I would like if the ad would take itself off my site after a specific time, if you know what i mean. For eg. If the ad is set to 2 weeks it will dissapear after this period and they have a choice to renew it.

Im new to web design so i dont know html. So if it could be as simple as possible that would be great. I use a program called Soholaunch.

Sorry I am not totally understanding the concept of this idea?
So a person will go onto your website, and upload there ad to advertise there website via yours?
If this is the case, more than html will be needed, another dynamic language would be needed such as PHP, or ASP!

And I have never heard of Soholaunch never mind using it, could you give me some information about what its function is, we are all here to learn

The website idea, people will upload ads of their goods (furniture f.ex) and other people will visit the site and take the goods off them. A small bit like ebay
i suppose but different.

Ok Because this is the only thing stopping me from getting my website and I really need this I will try to explan it better.

I have a website idea but it needs some specific things on it.

Firstly- People will be uploading ads of their unused items, like furniture for example. I will have a 'Place Ad' in the nav bar. The problem Im having is what to do then. Do I make a form with Item condition etc... and then they submit it or how do I go about it and will it upload to my site directly?

Secondly- The ad will hopefully have a limited number of weeks on my site before they need renewal. Is there a way I can have something to countdown the weeks and take it off automatically after a period of time?

Most important I have never created a webpage before so I have No HTML , CSS experience. My webhost gave me a website builder called Soholaunch.

Right,

Few things before I even begin with anything, if this is your first project, and you don't even no html and css, I am afraid but you may aswell give up now, I would hire a professional because the stuff you intend to create is tought even for the professionals!

Another point, HTML and CSS, will be needed in this project, but the main language would be PHP so my suggestion would be to post this in the PHP Section!

This stuff is quite complex, and very mind boggling, so I would cut it down as much as possible into stages and then work your way up.
For example:

Just ask for help on simple form, where they can add there details and upload images, start with that, once you have that as a basis, then you can work towards the rest.
But with me being still a beginner in the whole PHP Language, my advice would be, post this in the PHP Forum

I can make the forms...

But that language stuff. Whoaaa another storey. I will post it in the PHP section then.
