name matters a lot no doubt. but if you can't find a good one.. Than probably you should put some efforts on seo stuff.

if you look on the search engines and you put in a phrase like, ' webdesign' into google, look at the results, 90% of the time, the top results would be webdesign.com/org/net etc, i honestly think that it is more important to get an easy to remember name, a name that says what you do, and a name that is as short as possible.

seo is important, you are right, but to be off to a good start i always choose my names very carefully.

There are quite a few of these. Not that you couldn't do better. If you are reviewing them personally in particular.

However, if you plan to automate down the road, you might need to make sure it's better or somehow different than these. I have a list simply because I just wrote an eTutorial and have some resources in there on how to find creative people in their area. This is just a partial list, by the way.

In regards to dashes, you may not like them but search engines do like them. And getting that organic traffic is pretty sweet. But they are ugly as urls if you're going to print them on t-shirts.

I'll give it some thought. It's a pretty important aspect of your site definition.
