Befor I Get started

Before my final project gets underway(which has just been recently change) I want to create a personal site for myself so I can get familiar doing layouts with CSS. This personal site will be about me and what I do with web design and graphics. This personal site will include:

An about me page
A portfolio page
A contact page
and A page for Web Design and Graphic related resources.

I want to create a layout in Photoshop and don't know much on how to do that, because I need to get more familiar with the code. (Are there any tutorials for this?)

Do you think I should wait on that and try to create a good looking not to complicated layout or should I just go for it.

Re: Befor I Get started

Firstly there is NO code in Photoshop. Photoshop is simply a graphics program.

Once you have finished your mock-up (in Photoshop) slice it up into sections (background, nav, etc.).

Have a look here: http://www.tutorialized.com/tutorials/Photoshop/1 for some photoshop tutorials.

Lastly, good luck!

Thats fine!! Have a look here: Resources for learning HTML and CSS. It has lots of good resources for learning HTML and CSS - both of which you will need to code your website!

Good luck!

Good look thewebkid. Can I recommend a book?

HTML, XHTML & CSS by Elizabeth Castro.

It's very good for beginners.
