What content to use?

Hi all,

I'm in the process of building my new site and CMS,

but I'm stuck because I don't know what content I should put on one of the pages.

1840 Redesign

The page currently called CV...should it be a CV, should it be articles (although thats what my blog is really), should it be free wallpapers and scripts to get attention to the site?

I'm thinking the last one sounds good but I don't know.

Any ideas are welcome.

I'm going to offer the CV as a pdf download and for some reason i don't think i need to have a whole site page about it as well.

Mike

ps. My CMS for this site is working now, once I've got the last two pages I'll put a demo up for your review!

Re: What content to use?

I think everything looks good. Content is fine, perhaps watch your URL's and make sure they are SEO friendly. When you link to the home page use this...

/

instead of...
index.php

Of course you can't do that until the site is live. I would use .htaccess to rewrite the URL structure for your portfolio from this...

folio.php?id=4
folio/1840dsgn-blog/

Or you might not want to do that, as you don't want your site to surpass your customers sites in search engines.

Re: What content to use?

Yea .htaccess is to come.

I think I might do it with id to stop it surpassing the customers sites, that was its more user friendly but doesn't cause that problem,

so portfolio/1, portfolio/2 etc.

And yea I keep forgetting that I'm so used to writing /index that I forget, but that will too get sorted.

I just need to decide what to put on that page that says CV...

Re: What content to use?

I've used it as an about page and recommended links - I've changed the home page to "home" and it has the basic introductory text. And the about page has more about me and recommended links.
