I would suggest you stick to something along the blues and grays line for something like that - I haven't got any specific examples at the moment, but I'll try and come up with something more specific later if nobody else has come up with anything good!

if you have a header designed, then I would take three colours out of that and replicate it across the site, that way you have consistency
