website contents

Hi Forumz,
I have been told to suggest on the basic things that I think are supposed to be on my company's website. Can I get some views from u guys out there what you think would be good for your own company?

Re: website contents

Forget the contact form. A company website needs information to tell us what they do etc, and have information to answer questions we might have.

If a company website doesn't do this, I think its pointless.

I think a guestbook is a bit pointless for a company website. A FAQ page would be much more useful.

Re: website contents

what about something like a chat programme for the staff only. We provide internet and there are technicians who go out might need to chat with others in the office. What do you think of that?

Re: website contents

A company website should contain information as to what they do, what they offer, and why someone should choose them. That text should be able to be* scanned quickly. The website should also have a few ways to contact the company as in address, phone, and contact form. Besides common/simple navigation I think those are the essentials.

Re: website contents

It's your website.
1. What do you want your customers to see and do when they get there?
2. Are you planning to sell online?
3. Is this an informational site or an e-commerce site?
4. How much about the company and or products do you want to tell your clients?

Try this... Forget you own the business....think of yourself as a client/customer. And ask...What information etc. do I want to see on the website?
