how to upload my site on the internet

I hv registered just now. Yesterday I hv done a web site in dreamweaver just by myself, its a web page with all free stuff u get on net. Am very much new to this, but very much eager to upload it to the internet. I dont know how. I have named the web site myself, but i dont know how to get a domain name & upload it using fttp. I also like to know, whether i can get a domain name myself and launch my site on the internet or should i get the support of a web development company.. Please help me out

1st welcome to the forumz. In our side you first have to pay for a domain then a new domain will be opened for you where you will upload your website and make it able to be viewed round the world. Contact a web hosting company

You need to register a domain name and purchase hosting. I would recommend godaddy.com for the domain registration, and site5.com for the website hosting.

Excellent references everybody. Make sure you check several companies and compare. You want to choose one that will fit your needs. Not to much and not to little.

Welcome to webforumz! There are plenty of hosts out there, but take time to compare sites before paying anything. Many hosts will let you purchase a domain directly from them as part of your hosting package.
