2 Projects
Hi All,
Project 1 I have a mate who wants me to build him a website. He says he wants it to be like a Marketplace, where there will be a number of links to different shops that he owns. Are there any laws etc I need to be aware of about having this kind of website? Also he wants people to be able to make purchases online, so ive thought about having a company which processes card details. Does anyone know of a good company which offers this or has it included in hosting? As for people ordering online would it make sense to get them to sign up for an account where they have to login etc? The problem im thinking with the loging in is that because there will be more than one shop to order from, would I just have one central logging in system which allows them to order from any of the shops? Project 2 This project is for a pub, does anyone know of a good example for design, graphic purposes? Are there any good tutorials for making a newsletter for members who sign up? Thanks |

Re: 2 Projects
Use paypal for the 1st project, it will make your life a lot easier. And one login for use on all e-stores would be good from a user point of view.
As for the pub site, I find dogs playing pool are always a good starting point. See attachment. They have these pictures in loads of pubs over here. Mad dogs and englishmen and all that I guess. Pete. |

Re: 2 Projects
Hi Pete,
For the 1st project, how would it work with a Weston Union bank, as well as having PayPal? |

Re: 2 Projects
You could integrate both into the checkout and then give the user the option of which paymeny method to use. So when they click pay/buy it goes to a set a radion buttons and the user picks which way they want to pay and then it would either go to paypal or western union. Do western union operate like paypal, where you go to their site to pay or does it all have to be through your site? Otherwise it will be more complicated.
As for how you'd integrate western union into a site I have no idea. Not much use really, am I. Sorry. Pete. |
