RSS page
Hi,
I don't know how hard this would be (or if there is already kit that will do this). I want to setup a webpage for my forum, where it reads the RSS of members blogs (they say they want to be on the RSS and I add the RSS to the page so that it gets read). So I am assuming as an example it would be similar to how google news runs. They give me their link, I add it to the blogs to be read, then it adds it to the webpage. So I am just wondering how this would be achieved, I have searched google, but it seems to always come up with RSS browsers for your desktop computer and no way of doing it so a webpage reads it instead. Thanks in advance, Ross

Re: RSS page
I can help with this...
Firstly, I need to know... 1. Do you want this to happen on the server or the client? ie.: Do you want your server to query theirs, fetch the feed and manipulate it before serving the content. OR Do you want a script (js) that runs on the client machine and deal with handles it there... 2. What technologies can you use? ASP, PHP, XML, XSL?

Re: RSS page
If you're struggling with HTML I don't think it's a good idea to fetch the RSS and manipulate it in the server. There's a lot going on....
And anyway, you will definitely need some experience with PHP or ASP. You simply can't do it otherwise... Either way, I found a neat little Javascript RSS reader that might be useful: http://momche.net/publish/article.php?page=rssload

Re: RSS page
Cheers for that. I think I will try and get around to learning it when I have some free time. Thanks for your help.
Ross
