Adding "Topic Solved" for solved topics

I have noticed on phpfreaks forums and other forums such as one i can't remember for Visual Basic, in the Thread Tools, there is an option to mark the thread as "Resolved" or "Topic Solved".

Wouldn't it be a good idea if we could implement this in Webforumz? It would save a lot of time looking through threads that are no longer valid as they have been 'solved'

It can be frustrating reading through all the posts only to find out that you can't help them anymore because they don't need your help.

Perhaps you should look at the previous things posted in this forum, you would both see it's already been suggested...about two years ago. Sorry, bad day!

I've only been a member for just over a year.......anyway is there any reason why it hasn't been implemented?

Lots of code, and I only have so much time. Perhaps once the new design is out.

Jacob, now that this is working, can the WF team have access to do this to other threads, just to help people along a bit until they get used to it.

Yeah I agree to that... since the person that start the thread know if his or her question has been solve or not.

If not, you (the admin people) have to open every single thread every day just to mark the solved thread as [SOLVED]

Just a sugestion...

Re: Adding "Topic Solved" for solved topics

Yes, that is coming soon. We would like the thread starter to be able to mark their own thread solved, and that will be coming soon. But, for now staff will close a thread if they notice it has been solved.

Re: Adding "Topic Solved" for solved topics

if you are on the new skin then thread tool > mark thread as solved
this only works if you started the thread though
