Some Ideas?

Hey,
I don't know if these ideas have been suggested before (so sorry if they have) but how about;

A legend: Maybe something that showed each usergroup and or Staff Group. Use different colours to represent each group and maybe a small image that identifies these people, a sort of recignition for their work.

A special group or team that can answer direct questions from the public, If about safety, a moderation group directed on these questions, or for certain help - Slightly weird idea I suppose.

Anway, thats it for now.

We already have a Staff group, and I take on board your comments... it is already planned (and indeed already partly in place) that staff are recognisable by their webforumz avatars (like mine), but maybe we can give the titles a different color also.

We will be taking on more moderators pretty soon and we are concentrating recruitment across a broad range of disciplines.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'direct questions from the public' .... if you mean answer questions outside of the forums, then this is not currently possible.

As webforumz grows further, staff will naturally become divided into their chosen topic moderation areas, but for now we all pitch in.

However, eating up over half a gig a day of bandwidth shows us we'll be making some changes real soon.

Thanks for the reply, but by Directed questions, I mean like 'Ask a Moderator'
Where only moderators and the person who asked can reply/post in that thread and maybe in some threads if a user does not wish to let the public see the thread, it can be invisible (not sure if that is possible).

It's already possible.....

We call it Private Messaging (PM) ..... seriously though, thats essentially the functionality of PM that you are describing.
