Quetions and answers

Hi all,

As an absolute beginner with MySQL, phpmyadmin and php may I suggest that when someone post a question, and eventually comes up with their own solution that they post that solution instead of leaving us in the dark.
It would be very helpful to me/us who are trying to learn/understand new tech stuff with only a vague understanding.

I hope this makes sense.

First off Welcome to Webforumz, and I am glad you like the tutorial idea

I do agree with you 100%, and that is why Webforumz has moderators and one of their jobs is to make sure every post gets answered...even if the user solved it themselves. Also don't be afraid to make a new thread...we won't yell at you...we love to help!!

Listen to Jacob. Even indicate you have a problem and he is right there to help. try it out.

Makes total sense and I totally agree with you but on the other hand sometimes people create an account, post their questions, figure the problem on their own and never come either because a) they forgot they created the account, b) don't bother/don't care

We can't go and chase after them and say "Hey ... did you figure it out? Post the answer!"

Although ... a "[RESOLVED]" option to a thread would be nice. When searching for something you could know right away is there's an answer in that thread.

Same thing would apply here tho ... even if it's a regular member, I'm not going to go around constantly reminding/PM'ing OP's to check the "Resolved" button

We are actually in the progress of putting a resolved option on all threads that are answerable topics. It will be kinda cool...but anyway it is a long way off...though.

Yeah, I remember you saying the resolved option was coming... about six months ago.
