Slowdown in loading time

It takes about 10 seconds to load an ordinary webforumz.com asp page! ( any ).. Is it because you're experiencing a denial of service attack, a faulty line/server or just because your database just can't stand so much data or hits? Its weird that webforumz slowed down so much just now!

Errrm... I don't notice any slowdown. I'm on adsl and the site responds quickly...

EG: It took 0.08 seconds to process this page!

Even a search, which I would assume would take quite a lot of processing power took 0.14 seconds.

If there is any slowdown it will almost certainly be related to bandwidth and that could be at any point from webforumz to you - If it happens again, maybe do a trace?

Its ok now.. The slow-down occured only for a short period of time. I believe you may have a sudden increase in visitors? or the hosting company decided to do some 'adjustments'... Whatever it is, it works fine now..

Well Slowdowns are caused by storms all the time.. I havent quite figured this one out except that maybe someone in between you and the host lost its power so it has to take a longer route... Not too sure about why storms = lag but hey, it happens.

I have had people grumbling about the speed of one of my Snitz forums before. I know that although it only take 0.08 seconds or whatever, the slow down can be on the end users machine, as the <table> tags take a fair bit of rendering sometimes.

Therefore you might notice it more if you computer is doing a few other things at the same time.
