Office Desk Chair

Perhaps not the most exciting topic, but I'm after a reasonably good quality office chair with good ergonomics and comfort.

My current one's a bit of a cheapy, plus the arms are solid plastic and I find my elbows resting on them quite a bit.

Any recommendations? Or a good place to buy one?

Yeah you're right, not an exciting topic at all -- just kidding.

I'm not sure if they exist in the UK but Officeworks here in Australia have the biggest array of office chairs I've seen. You can pay nearly $1000 for a super "I'm ever so important" chair.

I haven't bought one though, I can tell you that you don't want the one's that my work has. They are very uncomfortable and the wheels are much too free on them. When you sit down you find yourself halfway across the office.

You should just go to somewhere that sells them and test them all -- take a video camera and create a humorous montage of your skylarking in each chair.

In fact, I am working in the office furniture area.

Why I bought this one? Because I don't like leather. It'll get all icky in summer when you have to finish that project, when you're actually should be out in the sun with a nice cold beer..

Naaah, the hell with Lazy boy!! notice how your arse neevr goes numb in a comfy car? Get down to the scrappy and get your hands on a decent leather seat out of a mercades or something. then fabricate a base for it. Not only will you be comfortable in your fully adjustable seat, you'll look the shiznit!

If you're really lucky you'll find one that's heated and you'll be able to rig that bad boy to work in your office with some electrical wizardry.

Hmm, now all I need is a Mercedes...
