Test Accessibility

How can I see if my site conforms with this? http://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG1AA-Conformance
Is there a checker online somewhere?

There are various online automated checks, such as Cynthia says and Bobby.

It's important to understand, however, that no satisfactory algorithmic accessibility test exists. These tests often flag "errors" which are harmless, and fail to notice severe accessibility problems.

It's also worth noting that some of the WCA guidelines are controversial. For example, I believe that access keys harm accessibility and should never be active by default.

Nevertheless, these tests are worth doing just in case they highlight something you'd forgotten to do.

Re: Test Accessibility

Mike raises a great point on these automated checks and their unjustified need for accesskeys.

In fact, the draft of HTML 5 seems to be removing them on the elements the accessibility checkers want them attached to.

Some attributes from HTML 4 are no longer allowed in HTML 5. If they need to have any impact on user agents for compatibility reasons it is defined how they should work in those scenarios.
  • accesskey attribute on a, area, button, input, label, legend and textarea.
