Re: What's your favorite Firefox add on?
About FireBug, I take it you would use it for your own projects? I mean, who would go and *edit* any random page on the net??

HAHA!!! I have to admit that Firebug takes a bit of getting used too but once you know how it works, which is really simple, you'll be smacking your head wondering why heck you haven't started using it earlier

Re: What's your favorite Firefox add on?
I've found a new addon that I've come to use quite a lot the last 15 days. It's an ftp addon and it saves me hassle of opening the ftp program every time I want to upload smaller files to a server. It's called fireFTP and you can find it here:

Re: What's your favorite Firefox add on?
don't have any developer add-ons, like firebug. (Although I'm planning on downloading one when the need arises.)
I like adblock plus. Haven't seen a single image ad for years....

Re: What's your favorite Firefox add on?
Is the 'edit css' function in firefox one of the best ways to edit web pages live? I use it a lot, but ids imagine there are some handy tools out there!

Re: What's your favorite Firefox add on?
Definitely Web Developer, this is the most useful of all the addons! I also find Aardvark is useful if you just want to check the HTML code for a certain element on a page (form etc.) without scrolling down pages of source code trying to locate the exact line it starts on.

Re: What's your favorite Firefox add on?
Here are two more add-ons that I find useful:
The first I guess is very useful for developers as it adds a way of rendering a page in IE mode from within FF. The add-on is called IE Tab and you can find it here: - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 This is the description from the developer of the add-on: Quote:
The second add-on is a side bar, which is something I have never really used or found particular useful for that matter (it may have had to do with lower screen resolutions and the need to free up desktop logistics) but ever since I've been using Opera I've become very fond of their side panel (press F4) and in particular the notes tab. Now, I found a similar sidebar add-on for FF, it's called All-in-One Sidebar, and you can find it here: - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1027 It lists all your add-ons etc and you can see file transfers from in there. Now I just need a notes tab just as powerful and useful as the one in Opera. Any suggestions?? |
