Looking for a movie program

Hi.

Im looking for a better program than the windows movie maker.
Im looking specifically for a program that has the old movie grain effects.
I dont know what programs there are available for this.

Any help would be great.

Adobe premier pro is apparently good if you have the money

I got Adobe Premier Pro CS3 with the Master Collection and to be honest (in my opinion) it's not all it is cracked up to be. If you don't mind spending a bit of cash, I would recommend getting Sony Vegas 8 Pro. Admittedly it is rather pricey, but it is well worth the investment.

Sony do offer home / student editions of their software. I haven't personally used any of it, but I have only heard good things about it.

Adobe Premier Elements is okay, and has the features you want. It's cheap, so it would be a good buy I think.

As always, you should try the trial of the programs first.

I have most of the adobe programs. Including After effects.
I dont think i have premier effects though I can buy it.

Think I will check out of few of the programs mentioned here.
