It's bad enough on IE6, IE3 doesn't bear thinking about

and FF 2.0 for anyone who is interested, because of the better GUI and vast amount of plug ins and add ons

The world wide web isn't that old mate. Tim Berners Lee invented it in what... 91, maybe 92

Re: What browser?

yes, and i would say take 4 years off that for most cases as the masses weren't designing websites straight away.

Re: What browser?

Could you even design websites 4 years in?
I assumed it was only all text.

and IE3 was out in mid August 1996, when I was 15 years old and still have no idea what the hell is Internet and all that stuff

That's interesting; you can even get IE3! installed if you wish. But, since no one develops for anything under IE5, and personally, I don't go under IE6 (and thinking of dropping that one as well!), you can get a good idea of what a site looks like by using http://browsershots.org/. No need to install anything.

I've used IE3, but since I came from Macintosh (I had a PowerBook 150), I used Netscape Navigator and only rarely IE3. That changed when IE4 came on the market in 1997 and by IE5, Netscape had completely disappeared from my machine.

Re: What browser?

This is still on-topic ish. Some people use test browsers, but why the hell would you want to?

Eh, why not? To see how the site looks in different browsers, or did you have something else in mind??
