Really?

I've had to replace 3 Flash Drives in 4 years due to burnout and only 1 hard drive has burned out on me in 15 years. Oh well I'm always the odd man out.

I don't mean it in a physical way How heavy duty they are, etc...

What I mean was, if you put in data inside your flash drive and your hard disk together at the same time as a backup kinda things, the data will be last longer in the flash drive compare to the hard disk! You know... the climate can effect the device "long lasting" things...

I'd say it was more reliable, flash memory can survive knocks and falls since they're solid state drives, hard drives usually can't since the mechanics of them are so delicate. If you do have any important files you should have a back up of it anyway, regardless of what media you store it on, though I can't honestly say I always follow this rule, I'm too lazy

Edit: didn't see the 2nd page

I suppose flash memory doesn't last as long since you don't hancle them in the same way as you do hard drives, I just chuck my pen drive into the bottom of my bag, if I had a portable hard drive I would be more careful

Re: Accidentally deleted a file from my USB pen... :(

I deleted all my Xmas files off my USB pen accidently, but managed to all back plus more using a program called "retrieve my files". If program is still required please just ask. It recommends not to use your USB pen till you have run this program.

But if this program works (finding the css file), it's an advantage for him in case this thing happens again

Well eminee, did you try the program?
