Omg I Hate Ie 7
I'm litterally pulling my hair out here, Im having so much problems with IE 7, with codes, I have taken some screen shots:
http://i4.tinypic.com/4zcjn9f.jpg http://i19.tinypic.com/5269kxc.jpg http://i10.tinypic.com/4pnrpmw.jpg http://i3.tinypic.com/6b4oivt.jpg I cant understand what's going wrong, I have three browsers on my laptop altogether, IE, FF and Opera. I get one error message when i open a webpage and when viewing a JavaScript code, but when I open a PHP code in IE 7, I get something like 200 odd error messages, Can someone help me please? It only happens with IE, not FF or Opera. I need IE for testing codes. My laptop has no internet connection, I test codes offline, please help. Kind Regards Stormraven |

Re: Omg I Hate Ie 7
Er...
I'm not sure what you mean by "opening a code". The browser should never "see" any PHP, because it's a server-side scripting language. The server should process all the PHP instructions, before handing the completed page (with no PHP code) to the browser. If you try to open a PHP file in a browser, without a web server processing it, you'll get a nasty mess. |

Re: Omg I Hate Ie 7
I've no idea what Xamp is.
What exactly are you doing? Are you opening PHP files directly in the browser? It would help a lot if you could supply a link. |

Re: Omg I Hate Ie 7
Mike: Xampp is basically an apache server that is on your machine.. It runs under //localhost.
It consists of: Quote:

Re: Omg I Hate Ie 7
assuming xampp is working correctly any .php files will have to be in the htdocs directory in the xampp directory.

Re: Omg I Hate Ie 7
Ah, right.
Bear in mind that IE often throws strange error messages. Some at least, such as the warning about active content, only occur on local web pages; these disappear when the site is uploaded. I'm not aware of any specifically PHP-related IE weirdness, however. |
