Hey! I work as an IT support analyst at a company where a large portion of the users are over 45. I know from experience that your average old has IT litteracy similar to that of a door wedge. A lot of them have a tough job using a telephone correctly.
So, uh, what your saying is that as soon as you hit 45, your IT literacy(spell check not working?) will also be that of a door wedge.

So let me see what I can assume about you:
1. You are illiterate. Spelling uh no speleing...
2. You act without thinking. ie Thoughtless Impulsive.
3. You deal in stereotypical behavior. Well if they are over 45, they have to be stupid.
4. Have you ever considered that they may be computer illiterate because you are unwilling or unable to teach them how to do it properly. You have obviously forgotten that not everyone speaks computerese and they would probably understand what you were saying if it were in plain old English.
5. I feel sorry for you....everyone gets old...even you will. And I don't think you will enjoy it one bit.

Re: Kids and technology

People over 45 are stupid. Trust me, I've met them. And yes, I am referring to all of them.

Stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason; they are true to a large extent.

Re: Kids and technology

Pete when you have something nice to say then say it.. A large majority of this site is over the age of 45 and they are all polite, easy to teach, and a lot more enjoyable to talk to than some of the younger members of this forum.

Re: Kids and technology

But I am stereotypically young: aggressive, offensive, arrogant, debauched and mostly drunk. It is only to be expected.

And some insane desire to fulfill every sordid expectation. Well, I say sordid, it's all quite nice really. Until you wake up with a massive hangover next to Dirty Debbie (or Filthy Phil, variety being the spice of life and all).

Erm kids, technology, inspiring, uplifting, wonderful.
