The effect of the Web in 2020
We all seem to be pretty well hooked on the Web already, but can you imagine what it will be like in 2020?
The Social Issues Research Centre of Oxford University has carried out a study into the effect the Internet will have on our lives in 2020. The report of their findings looks at a number of social, political and environmental factors, and even the changes that will be seen in the way that we shop. This SIRC report can be downloaded from their website, and is the result of a commission by Rackspace. I expect there will be a few people who will disagree with the report, but it is interesting that somebody has looked into a crystal ball.
