Blogathon

Hi there,

OK, I'm not really too sure what topics are allowed on here so if this is against the rules, then I apologize.

I am taking part in the blogathon. If you don't know what that is, you can check out the site(blogathon.org) but basically, it's where bloggers across the world post in their blogs every half an hour for 24 hours. It's for the charity of whatever the blogger chooses and well, I am looking for sponsors (this is why I am not sure if I'm allowed to post this)!

Well, I am not exactly speaking for the rest of the staff, but helping a charity is acceptable at least for me. If you don't mind ( and I think people would be more comfortable about this) which charity are you earning money for? Lets see how the rest of the staff feels.

Hey, thanks for the support. The charity I am donating to is CLAPA. I know it sounds odd but it stands for cleft lip and palate association. As far as I know it's a worldwide organisation but is based in the UK.

I was born with a cleft palate and know what you have to go through growing up with going to therapy every other week for hearing tests and speech so I thought it was about time I paid them back even though I am not too sure if I need help from the charity or not.

You can find the website here(CLAPA). Like I said, it's more of a personal reason of why I chose it rather than picking a big charity such as Shelter or Oxfam.

Anyway, I hope that gives you enough information for now. Obviously, if you have any other questions, I will try and answer them as fully as possible. Thanks again for the support. I know some places would still see this as a kind of advertising so I'm glad this place is different.
