Help With launch

On the 20th of this moth i am relaunching noloafing.co.uk

It will be all about boating.

But i can see one the 20th no one will come. And it Will be as crap as the last one.

HELP

Can you give us some information on like...

What is it about?
What your prospects are? etc. etc.

It's mainly all about ADVERTISING, ADVERTISING & ADVERTISING!

When on my website we released an album, a few weeks before we started rustling up interest by posting flyers on sites we visit (obviously getting permission from the top dog, so it didn't get deleted as spam) and adding graphics with links in our signatures linking to the advertising post.

Due to all of this, we started getting big coverage! Front page on totallycrap.com (2000 visitors a day for 4 weeks straight, just from them!) and alot of other sites.

Just don't give up!

I just went to other forums along the same theme as mine and had details about my site in the signature. I also went to completely different themed forum and got to about 10 - 15 posts then PM'd the top dog asking them if I could make a post about my forum on their site (makes you look better if you ask first and they are more likely to say yes, just because you asked).

An introductions area is a good place to start, it is a good ice breaker (or you could hire a fat penguin *boom* tish) and gets people talking.

If you give me a few details about your forum (what it's about etc.) I will add a part to our monthly newsletter (sent out on the 18th of every month) about it. Also I will add you to our links directory.

what site would you say are best to go to. Not over sailing sites

If you search google for "Chat forums" that could be your best bet, as then the forum has more of a variety of people and it's not a specialist forum on one subject.

I'll join up in a moment also... I know nothing about boats apart from the fact that they float on water

Also on registration it says How often do you sail? and one of the selections is "mouthly".
