Re: Dodgy Emails!
My email has a spam button which sends these puppies to spam He** and blocks them from coming back. Or if I really feel like having fun I can trace back to the offender....Turn around is fair play. Doesn't your e-mail account have a way to handle spam messages? Or is yours an online mail account?

Re: Dodgy Emails!
the reason those mails read (or dont) the way they do... is .. i suspect, because the auther is using a random word generator to create the body of the mail in order to circumvent the spam detecters... i get these at work even with spam protection on

Re: Dodgy Emails!
So if your theory is correct, then what is the point of sending them? That is no point, other than to drive people up the wall, and tick them off!! Or am I missing something?

Re: Dodgy Emails!
How rude, you don't even bother to respond to my emails!!!
I get loads from someone "apparently" in Africa saying that he has 24 million dollars and if I send him my bank account details they will put it through my bank for safe keeping

Re: Dodgy Emails!
You're not missing a thing, Jacob. Think how you would feel if every time you opened your e-mail you had nothing but crap from 'children' (and I use that term loosly) with time on their hands and no friends to speak of. Filling up your mailbox and if it has limits, you may miss something important. That's why I love my spam delete and my trace capabilities. I do have fun with spamers.

Re: Dodgy Emails!
On my gmail account I get over a 2300 spam items a week. Every thing from stock projections to people with bad English offering me all sorts of naughty sexual favors.
Its just a part of the web and thank goodness e-mail providers are keeping up with methods of prevention. |

Re: Dodgy Emails!
I used to get these emails pretty badly until I got domain filtering. Pretty nice stuff if you own the domain (and you own a dedicated / virtual server...) you can not only block stuff like this from your account, but everyone else on your domain as well. Pretty neat. Although I must say, the emails as specified above, we have to root block those which every now and then means that I gotta go and re-enable @aol.com from being banned... (why spammers use AOL I will never know...)
