Warning To Debit Card Users!

Hi everyone,

Just a quick warning to anyone with a debit / credit card... I learn't the hard way.

I personally have been stung by some (enter naughty word here) over the past three months.. It has only just came to light this morning. I have lost £2800 to some (enter another naughty word here) in Asia milking my account for £933.33 a month since January! I don't usually check my bank accounts so it is really my own fault. Remember to keep an eye on your accounts or some (enter another naughty word here) will have your hard earned cash. So far I have the answer from my bank "I will get back to you with what we are going to do".

The moral of the story is... Check your money... or some (enter naughty word here) will have your money.

Some Asian person was milking your account? Damn....That blows mate....

dont worry the bank will give u your money back it happened to me a wile ago and they refunded it all back man but yeah that doesnt mean that you shouldnt be carfull but yeah thebank shpuld do..

A real pain. Last year, I had over a thousand pounds taken from my account (or put on to my account - it was a credit card). Apparently it was porn site subscriptions that I did not take out. After Barclays stopped laughing at me they sorted it out and I got my cash back. Praise be to barclaycard and it's built in insurance!

Oh and I really didn't take out the subscriptions, honest. I mean, who needs that much porn? I hate porn anyway, don't see the point.

Was a real pain though. I mean I got my money back, but that's hardly the point.

That really sucks, but you should totally get all of your money back with no problem, after all banks are insured.

Well I have just spent my lunch break with the manager & the area manager of my bank.. They have taken full responsibility for the muck up and as soon as I mentioned the banking ombudsman they started talking about possible compensation for my trouble They are expecting a full refund within 10 - 14 working days So it's seeming to work out ok at the moment I just have to sign a few bits of paper tomorrow and the ball will be rolling apparently.

Someone used my credit card to buy something online, but the idiot shipped it to his house. The company forked over his address and he's probably still in jail

You have got to be extra careful with credit cards especially if you use them online. I have and will only use sites with certified security. As for stealing it and trying to use the numbers....Can't be done. I set a level on cc purchases and if I go over the bank will check with me before oking. it is a great service they set up because of problems with customer accounts.

Yeah, I have some charges on my account I have no idea where they came from...maybe a store or something. But it is only $20 bucks, so who cares...lol

I'm a bit like that, just let things go. But last year I got 600 pounds of charges in under two weeks. Accident they said. Accident! "Oh really" said I, "oh yes, I have six hundred pound accidents all the time". I told them to fix it. I'm not gonna lie, I shouted. I'm not proud but I did get my money back. Then I cancelled my account.

And the moral of the story is, don't bank with nat west and keep on top of your accounts.

As my hosting company found out last night...you don't play with peoples hosting accounts without putting everything on a backup server first...I was soo made at them...rant complete.
