It sure looks nice, but it seems you don't have enough room to put text in there...lol

I agree with Lchad on the snazzy, but I also agree with Jacob. Where are you going to put text?

Re: My New Project!

I usually don't like an excess of styles, but this looks nice. I think if you took the green outer-glow off of the header content area it would look a lot better.

Re: My New Project!

Good choice. Once you understand the basics of Photoshop, it can be a killer app for designing. Enjoy!

Re: My New Project!

The best. But it's a bit of pain in a way, the software is so good because it's so specific. As the name suggests it's great for photos but also for any graphic mockups, designs etc. If you're doing any vector work (logos, illustrations etc.) you'll want illustrator. I use both quite a bit. But they are not what you'd call user friendly in my opinion. The learning curve is steep. But once you've learnt the basics and you play around a bit you'll see just how powerful the programs are, they are unbelievable at times. I made a puddle the other day, it was better than the real thing (more shiny - shiny is good). Ok not better but very realistic and beautifully clear and crisp.

Download them both from the adobe site, you get a free 30 trial. Have a play and see what you think (they're quite big files though). They aren't cheap but they're worth it. And if you're a student like me then you get great discounts.

Pete.

Re: My New Project!

Cool, I still do that same thing. I will keep hitting the (q) button, thinking I am getting the Free Transform Tool, then realize I am in Photoshop...then I feel like an idiot...lol

Re: My New Project!

Oo, I like that. The only problem is you can't exactly mirror text, and that would be a pain to change the background image every time.
