Reclaim Space on my External HD
I was moving a 20 gB file to my external hard drive earlier today, and then I accidently unplugged it about halfway through the transfer. When I plugged it back in, the amount of free space on the HD was 10 gB less than it was before, but there was nothing for me to delete to reclaim the space. I figured out that if I turned on the hidden icons, I could see the unfinished transfer and was therefore able to delete it. I know this has happened to me several times in the past, usually dealing with large files. Does anyone know of a program for OS X that will sift through the files on an external HD and remove the 'dead' files to free up space?
