Processor?

Hey

Im currently running an AMD 2800+ with 512MB of ram, i want that upgraded to something that'll actually hit 2.8GHz.

I found the Intel Pentium D 820 Processor

It only has a 2MB cache, my AMD has 16MB. I need a cheap one, I found prices for that under £100. Any ideas? There is a lot on the market, something good yet relatively cheap? Im not too good with hardware ATM so give me some input

Thanks

Re: Processor?

Yeah, that's what I was going to recommend. I don't know if they ship to the UK, but they have the best prices. Newegg is also great.

Re: Processor?

Processor speed is processor speed... Brand names in hardware are no different than brand names in watches. Timex vs. Rolex. Which one are you going to buy?
