Cool Enom

So can someone explain exactly what enom's plans are for reselling domains? I am a little confused about the thousands of dollars that it would like you to spend. Which plan should I go for? That kind of thing...thanks!!

Enom is a tool that allows you to resell domain names to your customers. So if you are doing website design, you could also sell your customers hosting, and domain registration. Supposable it will allow your customers to check and see with the domain is available and buy it instantly on your website. Kind of like the godaddy reseller plan, except more professional.

Re: Enom

Oh wow. That's a cool idea, but it's definitely a bit pricey.

Re: Enom

Seems that way, but I am not really sure what all you get...was hoping someone here had it, and would explain to me what you get; I don't get their whole points system.

Re: Enom

Yeah, I was a bit confused about that, too. They don't seem to mention what they do anywhere other than:

Quote:
The full amount with which you fund your plan is immediately returned to you in the form of eNom Gold Points (1 eNom Gold Point = $1.00) which can be redeemed for any product or service we offer. eNom Gold Points never expire. The amount of your initial account funding is tiered to your reseller discount.
Is that like, buy the $6995 package and get 6995 dollars worth of free stuf?

Re: Enom

I don't know, but I am not going to spend $6000 to find out...lol, but it does allow the registration to be through you...so if you did a whois lookup, it would say registered through your company.

Re: Enom

That's cool. I would think they'd make way more money if it was cheaper. If all the normal web designers could afford this, I think they'd get a lot more business.

Re: Enom

Well, I was thinking like the $195 plan, the way it was explained to me, is that $195 purchase allows you to be a reseller, the $195 is a one time fee. You then do domain registrations for $9.95 per year, but you can use that $195 toward domains if you want to, or something like that. A little confused, and really don't want to waste money...lol

Oh. That's not really what I interpreted, but the whole thing is unclear. If you give it a go, let me know how it goes! I interested in this now.
