Evaluate my skills?

I used to write for a major gaming magazine and I'm a published author of a gaming strategy guide. I'm starting to feel pretty confident about my coding skills even though I've only been at it for a few months. Do you guys see much need for someone who isn't much of an artist but who is slightly more literate than the average designer and can actually code? I was thinking of maybe hitting up the web division over at DDB Chicago (major ad agency here in Chicago) once my web skills have become a little more seasoned. I used to work for them and I could get used to how they treat people on the creative end of the business.

I think I just got my first gig. The psychologist I've been seeing about ADD (pretty damn funny) needs a site done and he's willing consider me making a site for him in lieux of payment. It's a basic informational type deal, which I know I can do. I just want to do a bangup job of it so I can get him to recommend me to other mental health professionals. I think getting gigs from people with gobs of cash, who network frequently and don't know squat about computers or web design could be a pretty nice way to break into freelancing.

I consider myself being both extremely articulate and a genius at coding. You can hire a person to write content for a website and you can hire a person to code your website. You can't do one better than the other and have a perfect site. I think you'd find yourself in a better position to find a coder and split the job.
