Having some problems, with IE and FF
Hey guys
I'm having two problems with my site at the moment one is in IE and the other is in FF. See my site at: www.skiaustralia.abshost.net The IE problem: Well if you view my site in FF you will see the way it is meant to look. But in IE for some reason the main body of text is displaying below the menu, i've tried to fix it but i've found no solution The FF problem: The menu is not working (although if you hover over home it will act as it should, but this is not the case with the others) in FF, i've looked over the css and i could see nothing wrong with the menu css. The only changes i have made are to the colour attributes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Powderhound |

Re: Having some problems, with IE and FF
I did what you said and it has fixed the alignment problem in IE, however it has created some other problems, have a look, here http://www.skiaustralia.abshost.net/

Re: Having some problems, with IE and FF
I'm afraid I don't have IE as I'm on a Mac. Did my Firefox advice help, though?

Re: Having some problems, with IE and FF
You have three errors in your css which I'm sure must be effecting things. The lines are:
59, px missing, 89, bottom is not a valid value for position, 138, border-collapse: padding: 0; is not a valid line. Fix these and then lets look again. |

Re: Having some problems, with IE and FF
Well the menu has been fixed but i'm having a problem with the container Div finishing to early in FF
Also the Text is still not aligning in IE, and the footer is right under the menu. |

Re: Having some problems, with IE and FF
You haven't corrected line 138 from my previous post.
Your pages require a charset to be identified so the browsers know how you expect certain characters to be interprited. With xhtml 1.1 this ought to be at least utf-8. |

Re: Having some problems, with IE and FF
Sorry, i mustn't have uploaded the modified version.
I don't understand what a charset is? Also the menu is playing up a bit Last edited by Powderhound; Oct 25th, 2006 at 11:24. |

Re: Having some problems, with IE and FF
Replace the ???? with utf-8 and don't forget the space before />.
Your current stylesheet still has the error on line 59 previously posted. Fix these and then lets look again. |
