css font sizes problem

hi, i almost done with css layout for my site (www.allbonjovi.com), but i've got a problem with fonts now.
I personally prefer pretty small fonts (maybe it's not right but there's a zoom in browsers, isn't it?)
Well, anyway i try to do not use fixed sizes in pixels for easy changing if needed.
but when i use ems in style cheet it doesn't want to show them normally at all. for exmaple 0.8em makes text hardly visible. So i put there 'small", 'medium' 'x-small' and such. It looks ok for me in IE6, but toooo large in Opera and Firefox.
Any help?
I know that it's possible to use different stylesheets for different browsers somehow but i'd rather avoid it.

Text size looks fine to me in both Firefox and Opera.

However, in Opera your footer is not where it should be.

in my opera it's on its place. weird.

What are we supposed to be looking at?

A thought occured to me about the size of your text in Firefox and Opera, it is probably rendering relative to what you have the base font size set to in your options for these browsers. These two offer far more control over the displayed font size that IE.

no asked to look after you told me that footer it's not where it should be.
