Some Allignment Changes with my template

Hi,
I have a template which I got it freely from the internet. I want to modify it to meet the requirements of my new website design. Basically the change I want is that the content area must be much more wider and the Column containing the links must go to the extreme right. Or probably extreme left would be better while the content area goes to the right as seen in

http://www.freejavaguide.com . Note that This is a Liquid layout template.

Can anyone please help me. Can anyone also tell me if such free liquid template layouts are available on the net. Thank you once again.

Regards,
Hemanth

Re: Some Allignment Changes with my template

seems to go right to the left (the menu that is for me on my resolution) and content seems wide enough.

don't really see the point of what your achieving with these changes.

if you reduce the padding away the div's that should help you achieve what you want.... i think. not toally sure what is wrong with that layout?

doh!!!

just realise that the site you want it to look like! sorry, i'm slow.

Re: Some Allignment Changes with my template

alter your CSS of these div's to look like this

Code: Select all
/* left side (main content) */
.left {
    margin: 0 2% 20px 3%;
}

/* navigation */
.nav {
    right: 3%;
    text-align: center;
    width: 17%;
}

this should do it and still keep some space either side

Re: Some Allignment Changes with my template

Hi curley_bhoy,

Thanks for the help. I did the above as told by you and it really helped. But now I increased the links section of the right column. What happened was the text in the content area began to overlap which became messy.

I have zipped a version of the change as a reference. Can you please solve the probelm..
