Question Defaulting my stylesheet

Is there a way to default my css code, so that it uses the default html coding and not the code i used to override it? For example, I overrode the ul li tags in my css so that the bullets are pictures, but now I want to use the default bullets. Hope that wasn't too confusing Thank you.

Re: Defaulting my stylesheet

css rules are very simple to over-write.
first is source comes first, last in source comes last...
meaning the last definition is what you end up with.

Example:

default.css (on every page)
ul{ list-style:none; margin:10px 5px; }

tweaks.css (changes css slightly for specific page)
ul{ list-style: upper-alpha; }

what the browser ends up with is...
"ul{ list-style: upper-alpha; margin:10px 5px; }"
... without actually having to code it all together
Hope that helps...

Re: Defaulting my stylesheet

I just ran in to this myself. I changed my UL and LI default styling to be completely different and then needed the default. I don't know what I was thinking changing the default like that, but it was a simple fix.

I've told myself from now on, that anytime I need something other then default, I will create a class for it.

Go back and change your pages so that all the current UL's get assigned a class of "ulphoto" or something, update your css to the "ulphoto" class tag and then you'll have your default UL back to use where needed.

Otherwise, you have to create a new class just for the default and there is no sense in doing that.
