Re: Sitemaps needed

Which sort of sitemaps are you refering too? One that will become part of the viewable web site or the sort that Google read when they index your site?

Re: Sitemaps needed

It sounds like you want an image map with clickable regions.

Just find yourself a map of the area you want to use, then load it up in dreamweaver or some other tool and define the clickable areas.

Re: Sitemaps needed

Can the originator please clarify. I had assumed what was wanted was something that would crawl a site and generate a tree of links to the various areas of the site that you would then incorporate into a page for the site.

Re: Sitemaps needed

Suggest you use Google using search criteria something like:

+free +sitemap +html +generator

You will find a host of options, so choose what suits you best.

Re: Sitemaps needed

I automate parts of my site map using Textpatterns built in tags. Just tossing that out there. Any CMS should allow that kind of function. For example:

Code: Select all
<li>
<ul>
<txp:article_custom limit="5" section="article" sortby="Posted" sortdir="desc" listform="site-map-list" />
</ul>
</li>
and further down:

Code: Select all
<li>
<ul>
<txp:article_custom limit="10" section="photo_view" sortby="Posted" sortdir="desc" listform="site-map-list" />
</ul>
</li>
These two nested ul's update automatically when I add a post or an image to the photo gallery complete with perm links to each pic or article etc. Just one of many reasons to utilize a good content management system. It also does it for the links I add to the links page on my site.
