Problem with site in IE6 Only

Hi,

Wonder if anyone can shed any light on this, my site displays a feature that is only happening in IE6, not IE7, Netscape or Firefox.

Basically, when the page loads, the scrollbar is visible in the bottom of the page, and this seems to be replicated as an image on the background of the page.

I have tried using no scrollbars etc... but to no avail.

If anyone wants code just let me know.

Thanks

Andy

would help wount it!

www.wvfour.com and I think it is to do with the repeat-y on the image as if i remove the BG Image they go.

Re: Problem with site in IE6 Only

Ok, ive got to the bottom of it i think,

if i do repeat-y top centre for the BG Image, I get the scroll bars, but if i do:
background-repeat:repeat; background-position:center;

Then the image repeats either side of the main body,

It should do like a fade effect outwards from either side of the body of content, in 1280x1024 it looks like two cylinders either side of the content

background:url(../images/foo.jpg) top center repeat-y; would work.

Re: Problem with site in IE6 Only

moojoo thats what is in my original stylesheet which causes this problem of wierd scrollbars either side of my content.

By not doing the repeat-y it eliminates them

Re: Problem with site in IE6 Only

fixed it, I have had to manipulate the image file to make it wider to prevent the cylinder effect, and ive got it to look the way it's meant to.
