Pop Up when mouse pointer is over the menu item using

HI , pls help me on how to pop up new sub-menu when mouse pointer is hover on menu-item . Can it be done using css . If yes, help out?

Yes it can be done with CSS.

You would use the psuedo class :hover on an li element but IE won't understand this without an additional .htc file or javascript. You may want to read this article which explains in detail the "Suckerfish Dropdown" menu system which to date is perhaps one of the best constructed css menu systems.

I have the menu finished. NOT all
the links go anywhere, but at least
you can see the menu drop-down.

It is totally 100% CSS - no Javascript
or special files.

It consists of 2 separate style sheets.
One for NORMAL (LOL) Browsers, and
one for NOT_SO_NORMAL IE.

IE sux. CSS menu's are the best though, only js needed is for IE specifics but regardless if you can pull it off with no js excellent! I need to put together a css/xhtml only menu system for myself.

It is common practice to have a style sheet for IE hacks etc. It just keeps your primary CSS leaner and its easier to manage.
