One on one tutoring via web

Is it possible to build into a web site the ability to link up with a user one-on-one to have a tutorial session. It would need to be password protected.

Thanks,

Phil

It would be, but quite a pain if there in different time zones. And you gotta tell them to be on the computer at exactly the same time.

Best off just making videos like lynda.com and giving them a new one each week.

Not sure it matters but what sort of tutorial and wouldn't something like one of the 'Messengers' (MSN, Yahoo, etc) do it?

I was just going to suggest an instant messaging client.... but maybe netmeeting with it's whiteboard and application sharing would be more suitable.

You could use skype and a screen recorder/view type program so they can see what is happening.

We use a thing at work for it's remote assistance called GoToAssist. It's a citrix based web application. That may help you. It's expensive though £170/month/license....
