problem with image position

Hi, I am playing around with my site taking out the old javascript menu as i need sub-menus and replacing with the JS/CSS based menu using PHP Includes...the problem i am having is that the transparent image should be over the the home.jpg like here: http://www.mytesting.co.uk/dave/ but I have this http://www.mytesting.co.uk/dave/index.php

I am sure it is something small i have missed...?
