Looking For Colloberative Web App

Sorry if this thread is in the wrong place. I'm making a website for a genealogy professional. He wants there to be a place on his site where people from his really, really large family can upload pictures and stories about the family history....kinda like a wiki I guess. The only problem with using a wiki is that its just way to confusing for folks in their 60's to use. I need something kind of simple and user friendly. Also free would be nice. Does anyone have any suggestions ? Thanks !

Well first solution would be a Content Management system like Textpattern or Wordpress, however there is also Adobe Contribute which costs $$ but is very simple to use.
