Any help?
I am working on a website and I need to update content regularly.
At the moment I am having to manually move links to the next page whenever I update. Is there anything I can do that will help move the links? I mean is there a code that will help? |

Re: Any help?
Also how would I ensure the links at the bottom of the page stay at the bottom all the time?
At the moment they move depending on the content in the middle! |

Re: Any help?
I don't understand what you mean? Like a cms or a pagination system?
Quote:
Do you want it to appear when the longest column has finished? Or at the bottom of the browser window? Can you elaborate a bit or post a link so we can take a look? |

Re: Any help?
Not sure what you mean about the site links, could you elaborate a bit more as Bocaj said.
As for the footer, i think this is what you are looking for http://ryanfait.com/sticky-footer/

Re: Any help?
yep, Ryans sicky footer works well for simple layouts, but it seems to break with the more complicated ones unfortunatly. ;(
In regards to your links, are you looking for one place to update the links and for them all to be updated automaticlly across the site? If so you can use asp or php includes. Foe asp includes, you need to change the extension of your pages to .asp. you then take all your nav code and place it in a file called nav.asp (for instance) then all you need to do is include that serate file in the page at the relevant point:

Re: Any help?
Here is my site. http://www.ldablo.com
(I am new to all this so be kind!!) I am looking at changing the home page to have ALL the links, getting rid of the Pics, vid and jokes link and just displaying them on the main page. I then need them to move to another page when updating them. If you look at the pic section you will see I have a page one and two. I had to take soome from page one, paste them into page two and do not fancy doing that as the amount of links grows. Am I making sense because reasing that back I even confused myself!! Also as for the footer, as you can see I have links at the bottom. As the middle column content changes that footer moves up and down!! I have to keep adjusting it manually. Any help would be great. I really want to get this up and running but find I am really struggling with these two bits. Thanks. |
